Tonight is our first mini meet for K-3rd grade runners. Grades 4-8 will have practice AT CYO FIELDS while the younger kids are walking the course.
PeeWees and Minors
Where: CYO fields on Holland-Sylvania Rd. Meet at the St. Rose flag (down on the left side of CYO fields).
5-5:15: Be by St. Rose flag
5:30: Parents walk the course with kids and coaches. A parent MUST walk with your runner.
5:45(ISH): Return to the St. Rose flag to put water bottles down. Parents hand your runner off to their coaches and coaches will take the runners to warm up.
6:00: Races start – PW GIRLS run first. Then: PW Boys, Minor Girls, Minor Boys. The next race begins once the last runner from previous race has finished.
After your child races, coaches will take runners back to the St. Rose flag where parents will need to be to pick up runner.
Tonight’s race is NOT chip timed. We may still try to time the kids, but aren’t sure we will be able to with the sheer numbers. If you are interested in your child’s time, use the stopwatch feature on your phone or check out the finish clock near the finish arch.

Cadets and Juniors
Where: CYO fields on Holland-Sylvania Rd. Meet at the St. Rose flag (down on the left side of CYO fields) around 5:15.
5:15: Be by St. Rose flag
5:30: Cadet and Junior coaches will take runners to do their practice.
6:00: Cadets and Juniors will stay with coaches and either cheer younger runners on, or be assigned to run as turtles or rabbits for tonight’s races.

UNIFORMS
Our jerseys arrived last night, so I took them to Saint Rose School today and issued them to all SRS kids. They are coming home tonight in your child’s backpack! K-3rd graders wear their jersey with shorts. Be sure they bring a labeled water bottle with them!
Runners who don’t go to SRS: I will have your jerseys with me tonight. Arrive as close to 5:00 as possible to come get them from me. If your runner wants to wear a jersey from a prior year, that is FINE! If you aren’t there tonight, I will give to you at practice next week.
Juniors: Your jerseys are not in yet, but will be by next week.

Team App
This app has been glitching and many of you didn’t get the notification or email in a timely manner about Monday’s practice being cancelled. Please get into a habit of checking the NEWS section of the app, just in case a notification didn’t come through. If you are having troubles, please see me at practice on Tuesday.
